my return into the dt is pushing all the crude on the top waterline away from the overflow. I'm getting a pretty sizeable amount of debri circling at the opposite end of the overflow.
90 gal dt 20 gal sump. everything in parameters except po4 which I'm dosing w vodka. up to .9 mil a day. is it the water level, the return pushing too fast?( that would abuse the sump to run dry tho wouldn't it).
how do you guys arrange your flow so floating debris gets to go down the overflow?

Might help if we had a diagram of your tank, or a picture?

Generic answer: Re-aim the return line(s) and any flow motors to create a gyre than swings by the overflow teeth.

that's what I thought, my tank was set up for me. all my corals look great so I was afraid to change my powerheads for fear there was a huge amount of science to the placement of them
