I’ve purchased some shrooms that have disappointed in getting their secondary colors. The kryptonite below developed this one dark streak and has put off a bunch of babies which none have gotten any dark spots. I bought a Deadpool which never got any blue/purple and has also produced a bunch of babies. It’s a stunning red but not what I was hoping for.

How often does this happen? Is there a chance one day a baby will pop out with great coloring or are these a lost cause in that reguard?

if you look in my avatar the jawbreaker i got have very little red in it when i got it 18 months ago. i put it under very bright light after a 2 month accumulation and it started turning red but produced no babies.

not a mushroom expert, but maybe try higher light

I don’t think it a lighting situation in this. My regular jawbreaker has developed awesome colors under the same lighting.

My Jawbreaker took 2 years before it developed a ton of red and green. A lot of her offspring are still yellow but the ones that are close to two years are starting to get red and green as well. I always assumed it took time.
