Clean up crew didn't survive so that tank is Pretty Dirty.... But it is also interesting to see all the different stuff that just grows out of the Rock......

Life finds a way. I had a newly upgraded 55 for a couple on months, went on vacation, even had a co worker checking on it, but I didn't have A/C in the new apartment. It rarely gets hot in Vermont. It got hot...like 90's. I came home to a brown tank. The really sad thing is I was bringing back an old A/C from my folks house to use.

I pulled all the "good" rock, the one with the bleached palys and others. I ran it in smaller tank with a skimmer, basically to cycle and do heavy water changes. I kept the base rock and sandbed in the DT. I still have the green button polyps and striped mushrooms and much of the rock from 16 years ago, in a different tank thought.

Living in Florida, heat is a problem....need cooling not heaters.....when you buy things over the years, it is jaw dropping when it comes to replacing a major portion.
I have bought almost nothing, and already spent several hundred dollars on it....bought some pods for the sand, a couple fish, charcoal, salt, etc. ....haven't even touched the replacing of coral.....I am considering going to FOWLR ....I have always wanted a clown trigger

i told my fiance yesterdy when we move into our house i want fish only upstairs and a small frag tank on the same system below in the basement near the filter

Almost 2 months since the move.... Little things are sprouting All Over The Rock.... Starting to get a ugly purple/red slime.
Just added the first Coral since the move, put a pipe organ Coral yesterday, it is looking happy so far.
Anyone have good suggestions on red slime?
I know I need to get some clean up crew all but one of mine passed away(poor little snails)
Snails and nudibranchs next thing on my shopping list
