I have had this guy in QT for about 2 weeks running Coppersafe. Yesterday I noticed this discoloration over the left side of his body. Any ideas what it could be?

Have you treated with anything other than coppersafe so far? Noticed any other symptoms to go along with this or that preceded it?

Nope, only used coppersafe. He has looked great only QT'ed since I now QT all my fish.

Oh and he does flash on that side only.

It does looks like a bit of a bacterial infection is setting in there. I would advise treating for flukes, or at least doing a freshwater dip to check for them. Have antibiotics on hand if you don't already and be ready to treat if that doesn't start looking better in a couple days, or if it starts to look worse.
