My pygmy angel has some discolored patches. They are not white. It was being picked on by some clownfish—the tail was nipped but that has been healing. It this an injury or is this an infection of some sort? I’ve had this fish for 3 weeks.

it is hard to get a photo—this is the best after several attempts. Everyone else in the tank looks fine

One nice thing with saltwater fish is their ability to heal and to heal quickly. When healing occurs, often the pigments will be lighter but thru proper diet will contribute to restored coloration. The most important thing is that it healed and did not develop into a bacterial issue.
What foods are you feeding it?

This is reassuring. I was worried it might be a parasite. We are feeding frozen mysis, froxen brine shrimp, and omega-1 super veggie. Should I modify with something better?
