I discovered a rusty mp40 magnet Durning my cleaning.

What should I do? Throw in Carbon and call it a day? Water change?

Run a poly filter as well. They are good about removing metals from the tank.

And that is why I no longer buy vortech pumps. I would do a normal size water change and perhaps buy a poly filter.

I run mesh socks. I'm sure I have poly laying around. Corals are starting to lose color.

Poly and carbon as said and don't panic and pull a bunch of levers right away. (Aside from from Ploy & GAC)

Which kind of corals are losing color? Soft/LPS/SPS?

Step2: If you are serious about getting sound advice here, please publish:
a) age of system
b) volume in gallons or liters
c) complete water parameters: Temp, Salinity, ALK, Ca, Mg, NO3 (nitrates), PO4 (phosphates, and ANY volatility in these figures last 2 months.
d) test kits names used to produce these results

This data really helps people provide good guidance for Members in difficult times.

Best wishes.
