Discussing battery back up for Maxspect XF280

I am setting up Maxspect XF280 and am interested in a deep cycle battery solution. I understand from research the polarity of the plug is different than standard wiring but I really only had a few basic questions.

Can the XF280 model be run off a 12 volt battery for emergency situations? I read it has a 36v power supply and that it might not accept a 12v battery back up. I can wire two batteries to get 24V emmergency back up but would like to hear peoples experience first.

The use is for a 90" long tank and this will be used for clean installation. on one end so far.

I know that the xf250 can take a 12v battery- but it runs at a reduced speed. I think it dropped to 20%

There are upconverters that will do 12v to 24 or 36. Probably looking at about 80% efficiency only though.

But I wouldn’t want to put that through the transfer switch that comes in the box. I’d stick with 12v, unless you made your own transfer switch ,or just plug it into a ups

Can anyone confirm the power supply to the XF280, out of box is 24V 4amp. I was expecting 36 volt.
