This appears to be bacterial it will be important to offer good water quality and diet
I believe before considering treatment, I would keep an eye on fish and step up its diet. Foods to feed tangs at Minimum are:
Spirulina brine shrimp
Small plankton
Formula 2 flake and frozen
Mysis shrimp
LRS herbivore diet
Hikari mega veggie
Hikari marine cuisine
Nori seaweed basted with garlic extract
Add selcon vitamins and garlic extract to the foods alternating between feedings every other day for stamina and immunity health

The first and primary symptom of velvet is rapid breathing. Take a look at the link below my name here for additional information we need to know about the case in order to try to diagnose it.Please help ID the disease on this white tail tang. Is it velvet?
