Is some of that discoloration from after death? Was there any rapid breathing before death? What copper are you using and at what dose? I see some fin damage on its pectoral fin, not serious in itself, but I wonder how that happened?
What other fish are in with it? Do they look ok?

If you want, answer the questions I posted yesterday, no guarantee that it will lead us to a solution, but it would help;

Is some of that discoloration from after death? I can't say for sure but the picture was taken probably within 30 min after it died cause I had checked on it earlier.
Was there any rapid breathing before death? not rapid breathing but it was lying flat on the bottom, I would say weak rather than gasping or rapid breathing.
What copper are you using and at what dose? Copper power at 2.0 checked with Hanna Copper.

All other fish are ok. it was in the same tank with combo of tangs and triggers. it wasn't being chased around or harassed other than the occasional cornering by purple tang, but it was left alone. I had observed it for almost an hour watching if it was getting bullied.

when I saw it very weak, I removed it from copper tank and put it in a non-copper tank with same salinity and temp. this tank has ruby reef rally pro dosed 2 days back.

This could be a bacterial infection, especially if the discoloration showed up while the fish was still alive or freshly dead. I doubt it is velvet due to the copper being used, that the fish wasn’t breathing fast, and that the other fish are fine.
Not anything to do really if it was bacterial, as these bacteria are present in most tanks and just infect compromised fish.
