Disease or...?

I have one gold fish. That small baby have only one eye and on one side of the fish's body there is a cluster of flesh....seems like a pimple...a very big pimple. Should it be treated?

Yes we are going to need a photo to help. Sounds like damage or an infection to me but I am not an expert in this realm
