I have a new purple tang that has not eaten anything since his arrival. He is fairly large, around 6.5 inches and i know older tangs tend to have difficulty feeding at first.
My question is: are there any diseases that can affect fish appetite? i have tried many different types of food including seaweed. he doesn't even graze the walls or rock. at first i thought it was the QT tank he was in, but the emperor that shared that tank ended up eating. PH shock maybe? there are no white spots on him and he isnt flashing/scratching, he just kind of sits there, almost in a trance. i even introduced one of my DT fish to maybe "coach" him on the ancient art of eating but he just watches the damsel eat and shows no interest in anything.
He is still in QT so any recommendations for medicine is appreciated, when he first arrived i dosed paraguard.
