Disinfecting used equipment -- disease prevention

I've recently bought a number of used items such as powerheads and heaters for my builds. In an effort to keep out diseases, I've treated them to a 1:9 bleach bath and have let them dry for the past few days. Is there anything else I should be doing? How long should I wait before putting them in my tanks? Algal buildup is not a concern, so I haven't dosed any items with citric acid, although I do have the supplies for that.

Just make sure they were fully rinsed of the bleach and then are fully dried.if you’re nervous about bleach residue, put them in rodi and water conditioner.
