Going to be adding a display refugium to my reefer 350. Waiting on some laminate so I can finish the stand. Making it so it matches the stand I did a little custom work to. I'm planning on using a ai prime for the fuge, I know it's overkill, but I like the look of the light. Anyone ever use this light for a refugium before? I've read up about a few people that have had luck using it before. I already have some 5 plus year old tank raised mangrove trees to plant inside it. Searching for some other macro algae to add. None of my lfs in my area carry anything but basic macro algaes. Looking at some of the different species online and I'm blown away by the beauty in some of them. Can't wait to get started stocking it.

Building the stand to match the rest of the tank. All the way down to the push button to open the door like the Red Sea stand has.

built the hood and added t5's to the hydra's that I already had about a month ago. One of the reasons I'm wanting to stick to the prime. I'm already familiar with the way it works. Just going to have to play with it and figure out what settings work best for algae. Shooting for more red blue green and white. Should have the laminate in sometime next week. I'm going to add more pics then.

Look at the different macro algae on eBay. Awesome pieces

I think you will like the display refuge tank once you get it up and running. I am letting the macros run wild in my refuge tank but its just getting started. The live rock I got a few weeks back from the gulf has ~20-30 different species of algae growing out of it right now. If you are looking for marine plants I suggest checking out https://www.live-plants.com/ as they have a large selection of marine plants. I know they were impacted by the recent hurricane in FL so availability on some of the macro algaes might not be good right now. I have gotten several orders from them in the past without any issues. I always found the 5500K-6500K will grow macro algae nicely while also giving a great visual look to the tank. I will try to remember to post some pictures of my refuge tank once I turn the lights back on tomorrow.
