For my display refugium I still need to drill, paint and plum the tank my question is what should I put in the refugium?

Alot of people like putting mangroves in display fuges. That with some dragons breath and caulerpa.

What is the most beneficial

Mangroves are going to be for show more then nutrient uptake, while they do uptake some, its not as much as the dragons breath and the caulerpa will

chaetomorpha seems to be the old standby. I had chaeto in my refugium until feather caulerpa took over. It does a wonderful job too.

For a display fuge Xenia does a great job

Any form of caulerpa will work hard and many varieties are attractive. Gracilaria are nice also, some of these were my favorite.

I'm in the planning stages for a display refugium as well. I have mangroves I've been growing. Gracilaria and chaeto in sump now. Chaetonwill stay in the sump though. Will be collecting few other types too.
