Display tank and Mangrove/Cheato tank help

Hey guys,

I am looking at doing something here and need your guys help, I have ever only had a display tank and a sump but now i am looking to add a tank to this and wanted to see if you guys can see any problems of me doing this or something that i might be overlooking or not thinking about.

I have a red sea reefer 350 and the standard sump i am looking at adding a Innovative marine Nuvo EXT 25g lagoon tank. I would like to get some mangroves and cheato in the tank as well as maybe some rock for pods to spawn in.

I did a quick drawing to help explain what im trying to do to help better explain it.


The return pump line will be coming off an extra manifold line i have that's just capped off.

Please let me know if anyone has any ideas or concerns that i might not be thinking of, Like i said its my first time adding an extra tank to a 2 tank system.

I did this with my old setup. Just make sure to limit flow into that tank and have two drains the same size as the one input line. I believe Mr. Saltwater Tank does this sort of thing on a larger scale in his "sump room" but i dont know the details of his.
