i accidentally contaminated my display tank with water from my quarantine. I have fish in quarantine with velvet, I’ve been keeping a healthy display tank for 10 years never had an issue until now a lot going on and I made a mistake.

It’s a fish only 200 gallon tank with well over 2 thousand dollars in fish more than half already look like they have been salted idk what to do the only thing I can think of is buy a fish trap and quarantine some or drop para guard into the tank any suggestions would be greatly appreciated I’m freaking out

Unfortunately the only thing you can do is trap and treat in qt. And move fast as velvet is a very quick killer. And then 76 days fallow in the display

Drain the tank and pull all fish. Move them to QT treat with copper or CP.

Allow DT to be fallow for 6 weeks to erradicate velvet.

Sorry you are dealing with this :(

That’s what i thought...... Thanks guys i have the trap setup right now

Quick question most fish are in quarantine, um so I leave the tank with it’s shrimps and cleanup crew for like what 3 months and then I can add them back or do I need to remove cleanup crew as well

Cleanup crew can stay in the display. Just have to remove every fish
