Disposing of acid after the bath

So I'm planning to give my rock a bath in muriatic acid. I can find instructions on how to do that easy enough...but what do you do with the acid once you're done with it? Is there a special way to dispose of it?

Depending on how long you wait, the rock is neutralizing the acid and if the bubbling has stopped, you have converted the HCL (hydrochloric or muriatic acid, if that is what you used) to calcium chloride, which can go down the drain.

If it is still acidic, you can neutralize it with baking soda until the immediate bubbling from the baking soda no long happens, and then it is neutralized and can go down a drain.
