I’ve heard the rule of thumb is six inches between different types of corals. I currently have zoanthids, acans, Frogspawns, a toad stool, hammers and a Duncan corals in my tank. I’m wondering is six inches more of a guide line or hard rule. Thanks. I’m currently following the rule. Lol

It all depends on which coral as some corals need more space than others. For example some acan have sweeper tentacles that can reach 6 inches while others don’t. Also some corals need more room to grow as they grow faster than other. I think distance between corals should be based on there specific aggression and how fast they grow.
