distance between invert qt and fish qt

I have done a lot of research on fish diseases and learned a lot from you guys on here. Thanks for everything I have read that any qt tank should be at least 10 feet from any other tanks to prevent any possibilities of aerosol transmission of ich, and potentially other parasites. I have taken all of the advise from the members on here regarding this, and other qt practices with pretty good success. However, with my desire to create a sterile parasite free display tank and fish, I have setup a permanent fish qt tank, an as needed fish hospital tank (up and running when a single fish needs specific treatments), and I just built a rimless all in one invert/coral only qt tank, which should be a permanent, always running, tank when it is finished. So my question is, does the invert/coral qt tank need to be at least 10 feet away from my fish qt tank? And I suppose the same idea may have to apply to the hospital tank that is next to my fish qt? Thus yielding all of these tanks should be at least 10 feet from one another? I have dual purposed my utility room as my fish room where my fish qt and hospital tank currently reside next to each other. Ideally my new invert qt tank will be placed next to the other tanks as well. I can make arrangements to make the invert qt a pseudo display in my foyer if it is really necessary, push come to shove. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated

All QTs (fish or coral/invert) should be at least 10 feet away from one another, and also 10 feet away from any DTs.

I've personally never been able to duplicate 10 feet aerosol transmission (like in the study). But I was able to transfer aerosolized Amyloodinium dinospores 6 feet just by running a fan on high. I still give all of my tanks a 10 foot radius, just to play it safe.

Thanks Humble! The more I thought about it, the more I was leaning towards what you advise, hence bringing up the question. I will rearrange my hospital tank to be atleast 10 feet from my qt tank, and place my coral/invert tank wherever it fits lol. May have to wind up in the bedroom haha (which I am ok with) Nowadays, I am super paranoid about amyloodinium with new livestock, so anything I can do to isolate and treat it will be done.

How are you planning to qt inverts? Just observation or are you using any meds?

If you are just using it for observation, I would think that you can have it next to your other tanks as long as you let the tank sit fallow before adding the other aquariums to the fish room. Also, you'd want to have a separate set of aquarium tools for the invert tank alone.

The only reason to use chemicals is if you were to encounter a coral/invert specific pest.

this is exactly what this tank will be used for. mostly to go the 76 days and observation with out any fish. remove any obvious pests if needed.
