Distended anal?

i noticed this wrasses anal distended earlier- but she did a poop. Then I see it is still swollen?

She is eating and the more aggressive of the two

Any ideas? @Humblefish

Possibly a prolapsed cloaca... If so, there's not much more that can be done than to watch and wait. Sometimes they resolve, sometimes not ... and I know of at least one fish who's been swimming around with just that sort of injury for a year or more.

Definitely internal parasites. Metroplex+focus soaked in food for at least 10 days or until the white stringy poop is gone.

Metro & focus (one tablespoon food, one Seachem measure of each Metroplex & Focus - you can refrigerate leftovers) for 10 days plus (until symptoms are no longer observed), and you're good.

I have prazi-pro. Can I use that or do I need Metro & focus? I dosed prazi this morning

they don't like pellet food. Been soaking frozen food in Vitachem- got Vitamin C yesterday.

You can food soak prazi to treat tapeworms, but if that doesn't clear the white stringy poop you'll have to use metro.

API General cure has praziquantel and metronidazole in it, if you aren't able to find metroplex specifically. You can soak frozen food with that as well, 2 scoops GC to 1 scoop focus to 1 tablespoon frozen food.

If using metronidazole only it would be 1:1:1 ratio instead of 2:1:1.
