Hi everyone. My LFS has a nice distichopora colony for an even nicer price. He's halved the price his supplier recommended because he thinks it won't sell. I'm considering getting it if I think I can keep it alive and happy.
Are they a difficult species to care for?
How often do they need to be fed?
What about flow requirements?
Are rotifers, mysis juice and a homemade food I make suitable foods?
Will they thrive in an LPS and softy tank?
Being NPS, can they receive too much light? I understand most NPS can live under normal tank lighting conditions, but would rather be safe than sorry.
Sorry for all the questions. I've never owned NPS before so I'm new to them.
Thanks everyone!

I'd leave that one at the store unless you're just up for the challenge. I don't recall anyone keeping those alive long term. These grow in caves in the wild I believe. Would likely need good flow, no light, constant microscopic foods and perfect water quality to survive.

I may have to leave it in the store. A bit of further research tells me they can be pretty hard to keep alive. Thanks for the input.
My LFS didn't even know they were NPS and I've met most of the reefers around here, most just like the pretty colours and aren't actual hobbiests. Hopefully someone with some more experience will pick it up, I'd hate to see it die.
