distill water use

shall i use distill water for my new tank setup i don't have ro di unit its highly banned in india?
i found only distill water source here

Distill should be fine but you are going to end up with one expensive tank if you are always using distilled.

I find it hard to believe RODI is banned, maybe it's just hard to order?

Yes we get RO and DI raisins in India its not banned, they are just bit expensive...

I ran my previous 20g on distilled water from the store. It was expensive in the long run, but worked just fine. I didn’t have any algae issues.

I used distilled for years when I lived in Manhattan in the 1990s with no issues.

I wouldn't. Goodness knows what is in it. Distilled or an RO or RODI system would be best. TDS is ridiculously high in India. I lived in New Delhi for 4 years and remember we even had to use boiled water in 1-2 liter bottles just to brush our teeth.
