Distilled water to RODI question

Hey guys,

I just bought an aquatic life RODI buddie kit. I have been using 1 gallon jugs of distilled water (says zero ppm) for my ATO but the distilled water also says "Ozonated". When I use my RODI water now, will I see a drastic change in my tank as RODI isn't ozonated? Or will nothing really change?

I have a fluval 13.5 thats been healthy for almost a year :)

It should not make a difference - what is the drastic change?
Have you checked your RODI - to make sure its at 0 TDS?

Maybe I misunderstand - you said I see a drastic change - do you mean will I see a drastic change?

Ozone - might make for more 'sterile' water. But - Ive never heard of any other advantages - Ozone is rapidly decomposed to oxygen.

Yes sorry, Im asking will I see a change when I start using RODI? I still need to check for my ppm

To better fill everyone in, I've been using distilled water for 8 months now. I haven't switched to RODI yet as im setting it up and flushing it.

OH - I think you will get better results with RODI (more consistent). I dont think the ozone will make a difference (JMO) - and in the long run less expensive perhaps. Make sure to get a TDS meter (an inline one is cheap)
 
ozonated just means they sterilized it with ozone. If from a store and in a plastic jug, theres no ozone left in it, just plain clean water. Ozones out of gallon in 30 minutes and if any was left when bottled, it would have used itself up degrading the plastic.

I also use rodi and run ozone, so my rodi water is ozonated.
