A couple of days ago I awoke to a bunch of notifications on my phone for pH. It had been steadily dropping since about 1am. This should never happen because we run a fuge with a Kessel H380 (overkill to be sure) for about 16 hours a day, including over night. pH stays fairly stable.
My husband went to check on it, and found that the fuge light, as well as the RETURN PUMP were not working... But the powerheads and heaters were fine. Unplugging the light and return pump and plugging them back in fixed it.
I'm really concerned about this because the plug itself for the pump is always on, no timer of course. The light has a timer in the configuration. Even if the sump area had over heated for some weird reason, the histeresis should have turned them back on fairly quickly. (there is no indication on the temp chart that anything like that happened).
Has anyone seen this? This thing is not cheap, and I have heard of the apex going bad, but in those cases it was all at once.
Should we be worried that it's on its way out?
