Is it just me or did divers den prices get ridiculous. 350 for a purple tang?? 218 for a pintail wrasse? Elliot at Marine Collectors sells purples for 100 dollars cheaper and they are fully Qtd and treated. I also bought that exact pintail wrasse from my LFS for 160. There are other fish on the list but I'm not going to list them all

Would have to agree. Lots of stuff seeming to overpriced to me, plus the shipping costs aren’t exactly overly affordable. I hope that costs can get driven down! Overpricing is such a plague in this amazing hobby :(

@LiveAquaria

I've got to admit that your Divers Den (WYSIWG) fish prices, have gone just way too high... ;Wideyed

There are many others out their that do a full QT and have held their prices in check.

It's your business and if you have the customers then that's is great, but your pricing yourselves away from your old passionate consumers.

Thank you!!

They used to be my go to for most of my fish. Especially fish my LFS never had. But the divers den pricing is just getting way to high. Especially since people can go else where and get treated fish for the same price if not cheaper. They just had a powder blue for 18x, marine collectors pre treated is 135. Hopefully they figure it out and lower their prices to be competitive with other stores and possibly even lower than places that treat your fish for you

I love DD in Wisconsin, but I can still buy a fully QT'd Achilles tang at TSM Aquatics for half of DDs price.

$180 for a female bellius angelfish, when they were $79????

And they stopped doing the full refund option, like they used to have.

Welp,
Looks like TSM has raised some of their fish prices as well.

There will be fish shortages because less planes going from country to country. So now it’s time for everyone to price gouge. And also, been reading about a lot of deliveries not being made on time so it’s a double bad time to order fish. Perhaps wait a month or two.

I was just doing my daily check on DD. I stick with marine collectors now. He qts and treats the fish for you. I do still get the cheaper or popular fish on live aquaria and then just treat them myself.

The explanation here doesn’t make sense to me. Higher prices should generally mean there is more demand . With job loss, how can people have more demand ? I realize that some still order but I’m sure it’s less than prior to covid. I am almost certain their business isn’t doing “better” by any metric

Aren’t a lot of people receiving stimulus money?

Scott,

To be honest, we put ours into savings.

I stand where @joe0813 is at.

DD rose their fish prices going way back.

You’re smart.

I went to my LFS and saw they were only 10% stocked vs what they normally have. They said no shipments are coming in. First time ever seeing that. But they did say they expect a shipment next week. Hopefully.

There was a thread on here about people talking about all the fancy stuff they’re buying with stimulus checks. So I know people are still shopping.

Lots of stay at home time and hobby time leads to let’s buy this one more fish. DD has raised prices but maybe they have a lot more customer service problems with warranty claims. I see LFS who started shipping more have issues with people who act like they have a two week warranty when they only have a DOA. Imagine being in the call center of LA. Emotional roller coaster!!!

$250 for each of my 2 bellus, and $230 for my pintail from TSM.
but every fish they have for sale is th epitome of health and eats right away.

I didn't know people still used this company :(
i have to, I support most of our LFS here in C-Town but even with a large Metro area of 4-5 million, the Clev-Ark-Canton metro “might” have 3-5 decent LFS total. ...and yeah our LFS prices are higher than DD or LA
