They are different , shape of tail alone. U should be fine

I see two different fish. At first look I agree they are the same. The main difference I see is the upper black part on the tail is much thicker in the one.

Hopefully that broke the ice and you laughed a little because looking at the photo they are different fish. There are some subtle differences but the most notable difference is the black edging on the tail fin.

It looks like they took multiple pics of the fish as it was moving. I find it hard to believe that they have two fish that are well over 99% identical at the same time even if they were born together. It's not like LA is known for their consistent quality and ethics

I thought the same thing at first, but when you zoom in on the bottom fish, it appears that the edge only looks thinner because of the angle of the tail.

Definitely two different fish, the markings are very different on the tail and other areas on the fish. Pretty easy to see .

It's hard to tell because the light back ground compared to the light background changes colors.

Everyone has talked about the markings and there are obvious differences yes, 2nd fish has an elongation in the middle black stripe. Dorsal stripe is not as wide. Etc. But the most obvious differences are 'facial' : the 2nd fish's snout is much less pronounced. The jaw does not jut out as far. The eyesockets are minutely smaller. Etc Bear in mind also that clownfish can be extremely identical to each other.

For the record, I think the differences are because of slight variation in the angle/curvature of the body and tail. As someone said above, even if you think you see a difference- the odds of two little nebula clowns on divers den in the same week having sooooo many identical markings... like seriously it would be remarkable. I try to pick the tiniest mark or feature on one and you can always see it, or a hint of it, in the other. Everything. The general shape of a color gradient, a little jagged edge, a little curve here or there... it’s all the same except things that are probably the tail being mid wag, or the fish being angled slightly.

No but ORA is..I vote dif fish... also a clutch of clowns is normally like 50 fish and many of them can be dam near identical.. Also I think the current trend in clownfish is dumb... "arctic blizzard snow clown"..makes just as much sence as " matts fuzzy wuzzy blue berry bombastic digi"...when in fact it's just a digi... To me they serve no purpose other than to hear kids scream NEMO and can be easily captive bread. To pay so much is a trend that just needs to go away.

My vote is same fish, different angle/pics. I mean, that pattern is insanely similar if it's truly different fish. Come on, both sides are exactly the same pattern?

I would only be so sour about it if regular clownfish prices were inflated as a result... and they’re not. To me it’s an interesting little offshoot of the species, and I like the looks of some varieties a lot more than regular clowns, so I pay what I’m willing to pay. No harm done.
