Thanks Josh. I’d say about halfway down in the tank or about 20” from my light in about 450 PAR. It’s been growing like crazy with the CO2 scrubber.

Ok, I've been lagging in my updates. It's annual review time of year and I've been crazy busy! Here's something to tide you over. Not an expensive coral, but when I got rid of my colony I just had to keep a piece. The best combo of deep purple with neon green I've found.

For today's update I thought I'd pull back the curtain a bit. I always tell people that I have no secrets, so I figured I better back that statement up. So here goes. This is a full list of my maintenance each year. You'll notice there is no dosing of secret sauces. Yeah, I don't do that. Feel free to ask any questions, I'm always happy to help!

Daily

Feed the fish, combo of NLS pellets & frozen hikari mix
Test Alk 1x Salifert, 4x Alkatronic
Test Cal

Weekly

Baste off the rocks and colonies the morning of my WC
Suck out 10g of water and detritus from my tank bottom, sump, sometimes overflow
Replace with 10g IO (adjusted for Alk at 7.5)
Clean/scrape the glass
Test Nitrate
Test Phos
Test Mag
Test Salinity

Monthly

Inspect bulkheads, pipes, valves for any leakage
Replace CO2 scrubber media
Replace 8 Tbsp HC GFO
Replace 4 Tbsp Rox 0.8 Carbon

1.5 Months

Top off Cal/Alk reservoirs
Refill Alkatronic Reagent

4 Months

Clean/Soak Vortechs & Frag Racks

6 Months

Scrape & Clean out sump chambers
Clean/Soak Skimmer/Pump & Return Pump
Replace T5 Bulbs
Calibrate pH Probes
