I have decided to make a small frag tank to clean the drags out of my 40 breeder. I decided to make a AIO just for simplicity. There will be a refugium, a heater, and a MJ900 for a return pump. I just siliconed the panels together today.

Looks good nice and clean but just FYI silicone does not stick permanently to acrylic. Your partitions will eventually come loose and leak. Also if that main piece is a tight fit the acrylic might swell and break the glass tank. You should use glass partitions for glass tanks attached with silicone and acrylic partitions for acrylic tanks attached with solvent.

I left a 1/16 inch gap on each side of the divider to account for that. I guess we will just have to wait and see how it holds. Thanks for the input.

Leak tested today and everything turned out well!!

I'm going to do a DIY lighting system using rapid led lights with a makers led slim heat sink. Everything should come this week. I will post everything here as it comes along.

Painted the tank last night! Now just waiting on lights and water.

Sand and water are in! Everything works as planned. Just gotta wait for it to cycle!

The individual LEDs have come but I'm waiting on the heat sink which might come in the mail today. My dad is an electrical engineer so he is going to help me make a diy controller for the lights!

For all of the DIY led guys out there you should check out makersled. They make an amazing heat sink for DIY led lighting that looks like it is a pre made light fixture! So far I am very pleased with their product. I am using the slim heat sink for this tank and the build quality is great.

The tank is about halfway through the cycle.
