This is a 10 gallon sump for a 20 gallon long tank. I have the tank, skimmer, and return pump. My main questions are is it better with a smaller sump to go with 2 chambers or 3? I have some divisders from melev's reef that are cut and ready to go, but I'm not sure as to the best compartmentalization. How much space does the skimmer need? I was thinking a skimmer space, a small center space primarly for ATO sensors and return, and then the baffles for the return pump. I have ready not giving the return pump enough room/volume can lead to some issues.

Space for skimmer can be just so it fits inside the space.
ATO level sensor should be in the return Pump area.
There are plenty of small sump designs out there on the internet to see how it's done.
