yeah i got rid of it...it was sitting on the sand so i scopped it out and dumped it in a bucket...i feel bad to throw it out...it looked kinda nice...

the new filter design works great. it keeps my surface nice and clean. no more oily film from food or dust floating around

today i went to the LFS to drain my account some more....picked up this little guy...my favorite fish

Looks good! Happy you got everything back together and it worked out for you.

The ric is a yuma, they are very sensative to light. You might want to shade it at first in your cave.

Tank looks GREAT! I love it.

Thanks :)

the ric is doing fine, i didnt have time to move the ric and went away for thanksgiving. i came back and everything is fine.

bought a colony of zoos at a petshop in boston while i was away. i thought it was a ball shaped rock covered with zoos because it was so round when i first saw it...but it was actually zoo polyps attached to a mussel. pink zoos are on the mussel while green zoos are "trailing" it. i split them up when i came back, split it into 4 different bunches and attached them to different rocks.

heres what they look like, i separate the zoos trailing the mussel

Looks great! Thanks for the update.

Happy New Year everyone.

heres another quick update. i was away for 2 weeks, i had my friend feed my fish and top off the tank while i was away. i came back, and was expecting to see my tank completely covered in algae.

the bryopsis and bubble algae is getting out of control and i have hair algae growning on the sand. bought an emerald crab for the bubble algae, a slug for the hair and bryopsis algae. did a major water change

heres what it looks like now
