The first month or two there was some fighting, and occasionally there still is, but once they established the pecking order they calmed down!

Are they both on all the time or do you alternate them?

Hi Immafishguy, what is the mm thickness you went with for this build? Depending on size and volume, how do you determine the glass thickness for the given build? Also, what caulk did you use?

Best advice I can give is to use masking take to get cleanliness then use way to much silicone. It's a lot easier to create a good seam when you have more to work with, then when you smooth it out, the excess will peel off on the masking tape

How close do you lay the masking tape to the adjacent pane of glass? Do you leave some gap for a silicone meniscus to form?

I'm also interested in this. The calculations suggest 3/8", but I'd like to square the analysis with some actual data. Spreadsheet attached. (I found this online something like 10 years ago, so I can't vouch for its origins.)
