DIY AP9X Mounts

Any Kessil AP9X Experts?

I would like to make my own DIY mount out of Aluminum Extrusion or Shelving Brackets... I would prefer the Aluminum Extrusion but the only problem I'm having is trying to figure out a way to mount it to the slots with out a hanging kit.

Can you guys upload some photos if you have a custom DIY Stand with the AP9X Kessil light? If I want to use a basic stand I'll have to cut out my AI stand holes a bit bigger.

Have you checked out the 3D printing forums? Someone may be able to design/print a custom mount for you.

Making my own custom AP9X bracket mount, does anyone know the screw/bolt thread size for the 4 mounting screws? Thank you!

how will you be mounting the fixture? we sell the mounts for $12 for the AP9x to mount to a 3030 rail that costs $23.

Stainless steel screws included.

I like your printed pieces (we chatted a couple months ago), ultimately, I want to print a bracket equivalent to the Radion RMS and mount the lights to aluminum extrusion with a singular pivot/ball head point. Really seems like an oversight from Kessil not to support this mount style for the AP9X.

were you ever able to get your ap9x mounted to an RMS mount?

Not RMS, but 80/20 10-series. And, yes I was able to fashion a pretty solid bracket!

Didn’t go the printing route, though I had fully intended to. Ended up piecing together a few different parts to create some nice brackets.

Ended up using:
- 80/20 door track sliders
- Small camera tripod mounts
- Slotted mending plates/bars

Like the little tripod bounds on the track slider

Will have to steal this for a future build. Would be nice with any more directional light (like a A360/A500)
