I know this is an old thread, I watch your videos on my way back from work and love your 300 gallon tank, quick question about 8pin cable, how to check which cable is ground and which cable is extra?

I have a similar DIY BOB. My only caveat concerns the plug inputs. If you choose ones made with the wrong material, they will corrode in a salt water environment.

I’m all for making your own. Another option is to buy a kit like the avast model. Still cheaper (and better) than the stock Neptune version.
