pk i need advice------ im confused ----
history
so i have made three diy ato's using flost switches and a relay. im sure you have seen them out there.. two of the three have worked flawlessly. except for the third one.
first known problem
the water level in my wifes office tank sump is known and dialed in. when i first installed this DIY ato It almost flooded her 10g sump durning the night. no sure why, i assumed the pump stuck on, so i replaced the pump.even tho it everything was functional with no signs of problem. well it happened again several times. seems to be only at night because i montoired the tank all day with and saw no fluxing in the water level . we go to bed, wake up and all the ato water is dumped into the tank...i removed it and throw my hands in the air. i will deal with it later.
fast forward to today several months later...
i looked at this ato and installed a seconf float switch to kill the pump if the water gets to high... i montiered the water level all day it never moved...i only put a gallon of water in the ato JUST INCASE... We go to bed and the next morning BOOM the ato is empty. what the heck is going on here im really confused... it is made just like my other two. which do not have this problem...
I suspect that gravity is creating a siphon from my ato but I can not make it create one no matter how long I manually run it so that's out as a cause.
in the video the ato is now on, raise first float it turns off.. raise the second float and it also turns off.... i do not get it
