It's just simple white string....I made a lot of rocks in the past only thing I changed was I used emarco-400 cement from marco rocks.com.it dries in minutes but it's alittle pricey compared to the ordinary cement but....I was done in a day
 
He is talking about the string they tie boxes shut with.. you can fine it at almost every hobby store like Michael's.

Thanks for sharing this. I'm getting ready to put a 29gal setup together in a few weeks.
