Well people have always been trying to build a better mouse trap, so why not see who can build a better fish trap?

I know some one out there can come up with something crazy

Please post pics and if you can explain how you made it.

I am working on one now and will post pics when it's done.

Can't wait to see what you guys/gals come up with.

Mike

Fishing pole, best trap out there.

I wish someone could figure out how to make a fish trap that would fit in my overflows. I have two fish in each overflow and cannot get them out! (two neon gobies in one, a cleaner goby and sixline in the other). I have tried everything!

You need a cover for your overflow like these:

+1 on fishing pole! Worked to get some wrasses out. Just make sure the hook is barbless.

My dad made a cool little fish trap out of a tall glass cup. He siliconed a hinge on it that attached to a acrylic circle to close it. Then he attached fishing line to the acrylic door and threaded it though a metal loop he siliconed to the top. So once you add some food and the fish goes in, you just pull up on the fishing line and it pulls the door up and shut. Then you can pull the whole thing out of the water by the line with the door shut, so the fish can't swim back out. It worked really well.

I wish I had a picture of it to post. If anyone really wants to see a picture of it, I can take one and post it in about 2 weeks (going on vacation!).
