I'm moving a great distance and thought I would post my DIY transportation box.

Luckily all my pieces are frags or small enough to put on a big plug.

I'm guesstimating I need to put about 40pcs into this.

There are 2 levels, lower level will be for blastos or short stinging corals. Top row will be for bigger frags, indo gold torch and overflow from lower rack.

I've seeded some bio blocks (not sure if correct name) and I'll toss one in coral box and one in fish bucket
(Fish will be in a separate bucket)

Wish me success, they will be in here for 2-3 days!!

Will post pics tomorrow morning when corals get transferred into box.

I'd consider taking along one or two 5 gallon containers of just tank saltwater and do a water change at the halfway point. But all in all, I think your plan looks good. I assume (and think I saw in the photos) battery powered bubblers? Those work very well.

I store for 2 or 3 days and then transport home (6 to 8 hours) livestock we collect in the Florida Keys. The storage part is stuff we collect in the first day or two and we keep it in a cooler in our motel room with a bubbler, heater, water movement powerhead and daily water changes.

Good luck.

BTW, moving from LA to what area that is so far away? Just curious.

Indeed it's an air battery pack.
Moving to Idaho.
I have about 15gl of salt in a brute that I plan to use as a quick start up on a new IM 20 I picked up.

I'm still deciding if I want to try another DIY concrete wall for the 70gl acrylic cube I got. The last concrete build ended up with a cracked biocube!
