Hey everyone looking to build a stand for my new to me tank, I acquired a 215g corner tank and planning on building a steel stand and was wondering people’s thoughts and if anyone has had experience building one.
Here are some sketch ups, plan on using
2 1/2 x 1 1/2 rectangle tubing 11 gauge steel.

My 75g pentagon stand was built by Willie at Ocean Marine Sales. See the pix in this thread starting at post #8

Willie used angle iron for mine which saved quite a bit of space under the stand. The wood wrap is also self-standing and slides in and out. I really like this stand a lot.

You sure that tank is 215g? A rectangle with those dimensions (39.5 x 39.5 x 30) is ~200g...

Thank you I will take a look.
Yea those pictures are sketch’s of the stand the tank is 4 foot tall.

11 gauge (close to 1/8 inch) wall thickness is a pain to weld... at least for me.

The last stand I built was 2 inch x 2 inch 3/8 wall thickness.

just my two cents. I got better penetration with the thicker material. The thinner stuff I was burning through. But I'm not a professional welder. Just a hobbyist.

Where did you find the tank? Thinking about doing a build like this
