DIY Ecotech Battery Backup for $60

This is great. I was looking for a 75ah battery but I couldn't find one even close to 80 dollars. Do u have a look for the one u used?

I bought an interstate battery (I like the brand) from a boating shop I know- It looks like prices might have gone up or they gave me a good deal- I did say I didn't care about age- as it is more the cycles that deteriorate the battery than age. I don't know where to find one online, but outdoor stores will have them. Walmart has 109 amp hour batteries for $80 and smaller ones for cheaper. I've heard there batteries are junk, but as you are not putting many cycles on them, it might be fine. https://www.walmart.com/ip/EverStart-27DC-Marine-RV-Deep-Cycle-Battery/164242687 I would check out gander mountain, field and stream, ***** sporting, etc. and maybe look for a coupon.

Made it, works great and super easy. I am gonna see if I can get a connection for my Jebao PP-4s.

The only thing I was not too sure of is that I used 22 gauge wire. So far so good tho.

I was thinking about getting the vectra voltage booster cable so I can run my Jebao DCT4000, it takes 24V. I don't really know much about electricity....does anyone know if this could damage the DCT4000 pump? Maybe I would be better off getting the controller that is meant to allow them to work with a 12V battery backup.

Getting the controller also gives you WiFi control and more options.

I probably will....but just curious if the booster will work anyway.

I believe the vectra boosters are 12v to 36v, and the jebao is 24v, so that will not work, and you would need more than the booster anyway- if you wait a week I will have a video out on how to backup any 24v pump

Ooo ok sounds great, ty

How's that video coming :)?

I did make one out of a belkin 12v router backup for my mp40 just needed to by the ecotech cable, they use a small plug, changed the end and worked perfectly. not as powerful as the ecotech one, but then again only ran me $40.00 off ebay Just another inexpensive option.
