I've seen I'm not the only one who's had their fan go out on their 350w and have the light go on and off. It can be frustrating to say the least. Now you could deal direct with kessil which from what I hear has very excellent customer service but if for some reason your impatient or not able to, this is for you.
First off I tried to just replace the fan but apparently it's crazy hard to find a 48v 60mm fan. It seems the common fan you can get is 12v
So I had to find other option. I went to Frys and looked for a 48v to 12v converter no luck, called around, no luck. So I poked around for a hour and came across these.
Instead of trying to find a converter or a 48v fan I would replace it with a common 12v fan which leaves me with options to up grade or replace. Only down side is the fan now takes up one outlet. I left the store for about $15.
Cut the old one out and replaced it. Had to make a small mod to get the new fan plug through the top of the light.
Plugged it in to a phone charger and boom back to being a well oiled coral going machine.
