It will mess with your ph. I'd cure them until they have no effect on ph.Can i make frag plugs using white cement only? Without using aragonite? How Long do we need treat them before using? Or its not necessary?
Im planning to add them in my flush tank for a month. Thats enough? Is adding aragonite necessary? It will mess with your ph. I'd cure them until they have no effect on ph.
KoolI think the aragonite is mostly there for texture, so it may be a personal preference. I would soak them in a saltwater bath for a while after they cure fully.
Means? Can't you use plaster of Paris to.make them and you wouldn't have to cure them?
I know pop, So do i mix pop to white cement? This is the stuff I'm referring to. By curing I mean let it sit in water for a couple of weeks changing the water periodically to get the ph stable so it won't affect your tank. I'm not sure if you can go without curing or not.

Yea, thats what people do here. I got some chocolate casts. So pop is fine right? Any Idea whats it made of? Im just worried about the impirities, as im from india, here they dont sell good brand pop. There is ultra white cement easily available of really good quality. Does pop really have impurities? No. Plaster of Paris by itself.. then you need to bake it to make it to be hard.
Cement is the most popular but you have to cure it. What several people I know do is, putvthev cement plugs in a sock or pantyhose then drop them in the water reservoir on their toilet for at least 1.5 months if not a little longer. This way every time you flush you are doing a water change. You can't do this if you have the blue cleaning things in the tank.
