I bought a 3d printer and I am looking into making a couple of magnetic prints using PLA. Ive been looking at different designs and will be putting mine together shortly but I am stuck on the size of magnet needed. I have a 220g with 1/2" thick glass so I need something with enough pull force to not only make it through the glass but hold the frags up. So all in all what magnets should I be getting, I am in Canada by the way.

I made a big frag rack with egg crate and I used magnets from a Jebao Crossflow that I was trashing. They work great!

Looking at doing something similar. Here’s my thread from earlier. Using dry rock though.

When I made frag racks for reef friends a few years ago, I used 1" x 3/8" neodymium magnets on the inside and 1" x 1/4" neodymium magnets on the outside. Used on 1/2" glass a 2 pairs of this combination would hold a 14" x 6" eggcrate frag rack piled high with frags and still had holding power.

Awesome thanks for the help, just have to source these guys now!
