Looks for ideas on a diy frag tank, large scale, I can't find the large plastic bins online, anyone have any ideas on what to use as a frag tank?

Define 'large'. Just how big are you considering?

Do you have a pictures of it in your room?

You can see it on our Build Thread, or there is a little more detail on our sump here:

After thinking about it, I don't think the single photo from the other threads provides sufficient context. Here's a few more pictures that might help.

This is the 50gal near our old 220gal DT. The stock tank is 52" x 31" x 12".

We built a platform for the refugium over the current sump & we're pumping dirty water from the input chamber of the sump into the stock tank. It then drains through x2 3/4" & x2 1" pipes back into the return chamber of the sump. I don't like these drain pipes as I should have used x2 1 1/2" stand pipes drilled through the bottom of the tank vs. putting holes in the sides. In this project, I did learn the important difference between 'rain-barrel' bulkheads vs. Uniseals. Moving forward, I will only use Uniseals for plastics.

When we add in another one of these tanks as a frag tank, we will do so by moving to the left into the storage room that is near the stairwell.

Is plywood good for long term?

As long as it's sealed properly it should last quite a long time, there are a few frag tank builds done this way kicking around here.

Although the aquaculture deep trays shouldn't be overly difficult to find, shipping on them right now might be scary though...
