I like it, I have those same t5 lights. Pretty inexpensive and work great.

Yeah, my first tough was to buy hybrit fixture $350, instead spend under $50 in homedepot for all supplies needed for this setup

Yes and the problem with the black boxes are their light spectrum, which is fixed by using the t5 lights. Best of both worlds I have thought of the same thing, I will be using your idea if you don't mind. LOL!

Yes, I'm running MH, t5's and LED's on my display. And I love the results of growth and color, want to do same on my frag tank, Blackbox LED's are ok. But slow results.
