My JBJ NanoCube 28g cracked down the middle of the side of glass last night so, I, in emergency mode, did the only thing I thought to do and removed all my livestock and rock into buckets and rushed to PetSmart to buy a tank. The Aqueon 36g Bowfront was on sale so I grabbed it and rushed home to set it up and to transfer my sand and rock as quickly as possible to limit the loss my fish. Unfortunately, my sixline wrasse and pygmy angel did not survive the trauma.
Now, I would like to come up with a way to keep the 36g but I would like to change the filtration into something else similar to what I had going before with the nanocube. My thinking is that I'd like to set up two internal overflow areas in the back corners of the aquarium. My initial thoughts are to just go to Lowe's and get some kind of plastic or glass and cut it and silicone it into the corners.
Have any of you done anything like this before? Are there any tips or tricks you would like to share? Your help would be much appreciated.
Cheers
