I have my leftover 40B metal stand. thinking about putting it to use as a multipurpose tank stand.
Currently I have my DI stored in a 5 gal bucket on the floor. make up saltwater as I need it. I do not have a spot for a quarantine or hospital tank.
Thinking of using the 40B stand and putting (4) 10 gal tanks on top.. they will overhang a bit, but I don't think it will be a problem. with them being so small. I'll cut a pice of ply for the top to help out.

2 of the tank's I'll drill and install bulkheads and float switches. one for DI storage, the other for pre-mixed salt water storage.
the other 2 will be on standby as either a frag tank, or hospital tank or QT or whatever.
I only have a 40B display, so my water needs aren't huge.

anyone see any issues with this? I don't think there will be a problem storing the water in a clear container. if there is, I'll just paint the outside of the tanks and leave a clear line for level checking.

Don’t put a QT close to your stored water or you risk contaminating the DT.

I would use the stand for either water storage or QT/HT but not both.
