DIY LED Fixture...

I am not affiliated with rapidLED.com and it is really the only DIY LED site that I have used so I have nothing to compare to. But they have been great. I love the sodierless LEDs. I have a DIY LED strip light and two DIY LED modules that I made. I usually get the fans from eBay/china. I buy the heatsinks other places. But the LEDs and power supplies I get from them. Can't go wrong with them IMO. IIRC they usually ship priority mail so you'll get it in 2-3 days. Don't quote me on that tho..

Thank you! Any recommended products from them?

I already have the leds picked out. I just need like a link to a dc adapter and things along those lines.

Nobody can really help you out without more specifics
1)Diode type
2)diode forward voltage
3)Are you going to use a controller? Dimming?
ect...

A general list of recommended suppliers:
ledsupply for LDD drivers and Meanwell power supplies
bluacro for dual dimmable, current adj drivers
rapidLED for driver boards (removable pull down resistors)
heatsinksusa for some bare bones aluminum.

you really need to supply some more info..

Thanks you this is pretty much what I was looking for.

I did a LED strip to fit my hood recently. These are what I ended up needing.
1-2 Aluminum thin sheets to mount the LEDs.
Small heat sinks to go on other side on alumium sheet. (If 1W LED small. if 3W LEd you will need bigger heat sicks with bigger alumium strip)
1 AC-DC converter with right voltage and ampere range. (Again depends on how many LED and 1W or 3W)
Wires to connect them.
2 or 3 pin AC power connector to socket.
Casing to encase the light fixture.

Cheers :)
