That's a lot of LEDs per little strip if you are running them anywhere near full amperage. Do some thinking on how you are going to cool them.

Also +1 on dirtyC's comment. Most drivers won't run that many LEDs.

With a Meanwell ELN 60-48D You could run as many as 36 Led's if they are run in parallel (3 sets of 12) But they will only run at 300ma like this. You can run 24 in parallel (2 sets of 12) At the Full 700ma.
And there are larger Drivers that can handle 36 Led's at the full power and then some (1050ma) but this will shorten the Led's life cycle some.
Kevan, I think that 24 would be enough for what you want to do, Run at 1050ma you will get more then enough light JMO

I know, that's what I'm doing, but it takes a bit more planning and you have to bin your LEDs according to their forward voltage.

24 will be plenty. Do 12 leds (12 cool white & 12 Royal Blue) on 2 seperate ELN60-48D's and you can dim them with the apex independently to get the color you want. just saying if it were me :)

ps, I have a extra brand new ELN60-48D if your interested.

Rick!!! Where have you been.

Well this thread has me thinking. About doing a t5/led hybrid instead of MH/led.

I'm still contemplating my options.

I've been in the woods . Its hunting season again, so pretty much live in the woods right now, lol.

I like the metal halide LED combo idea. T5s would be fine too, but thats just me.
