So I’m toying with the idea of a just under half gallon cylinder tank 4 inch wide by 8 Inch tall with a 4x4 inch sump Underneath. My question is how much light would this need? If I do this the only coral on this “reef” would be Xenias

Oh forgot to mention I’m planning on having the light be part of the hood and having a hinge for adding fresh water and possible supplements.

I would get some of the led stars with just one led each. Combination (all cree) of 1 6500k, 1 5000k, 2 470nm Blue, 2 450nm Royal Blue. Mount on a pc cpu heatsink with JB Weld. Run the whites at 700ma and run the blues at 500ma with either luxdrive or meanwell bucpucks. Be sure to use a small fan to keep the heatsink cool
