Just received in my first 50 10K white, & 30 420nm Royal Blue Star mounted 3watt LEDs. Been Playing with Power Supplies & Have found a PC Power supply that I'm thinking about using... Has anyone tried this route on here before? Anyway Looking for heat sinks & Clear tubing to cover them with. I Just hope they are as insanely bright over the tanks as they are on my desk:smile:

I will post some before & After pics when I get a chance to Reduce them in size

Any Pitfall avoidance/ advise is appreciated

420nm LEDs are violets, and are not as bright as 450 or 460nm royal blues. 10k whites are a little too high up, and may cause a pastel coral coloration. I would reccomend using meanwells, other power supplies not meant for LEDs may flicker, or not be the right input. Meanwells are very good for driving LEDs. Cree XT-Es and XP-Gs are the top of the line right now.

I Miss typed they are 460's, What temp would you recomend for the whites? Oh & CREE is definatly the way to go
